The last 1/3 is in pieces and still bouncing around my mind. It will come together–all of it–next week. I feel so much better after today’s
session. At least I think I know where this is going. I won’t be able to show you the finished piece until July1. So, please stay tuned for more details.
Building the design wall last year has really helped. I rarely do piece-as-you-go type projects where I’m also auditioning fabrics as I go.
I’m always afraid I’ll run out of a fabric I need. Sometimes, I do run out and can’t get the original fabric. A quick substitution that fits the piece has to be made.
I’m making a run to the fabric store, The Quilted Moose in Gretna, NE, on Monday for some black batiks. They have the best batik selection, in my opinion, (along with all their other fabrics) in the area. I’ll show you what I picked out.
