Forget Me Knot, A Quilting Mystery by Mary Marks
I haven’t done a book report since the 6th grade. So, I’m a little out of practice. I was so engrossed in and so enjoyed this book that I want to share it with you.
Mary Marks’ first novel, Forget Me Knot (FMK), is a murder mystery. In fact, it opens with the murder of a quilter, a post-menopausal group of quilt friends, and an attractive
police detective. You get the picture.
Martha Rose, our leading lady, is at once attracted to the detective, Arlo Beavers, and quickly insinuates herself into the investigation. Miss Marple was never this juicy.
No spoilers here, but we do pick up a thing or two about quilting along the way.
Martha and her friends are 3-dimensional people with the same temptations and needs as the rest of us. I finished the book in record time and am looking forward to more.
“More” on the review of the second book in this series–stay tuned.
